Sunday Sale Jewel

Look what I found at the Sunday Sale yesterday!

I've been keeping my eye out for a smaller scale desk for our master bedroom to use as a writing and laptop desk. I've searched Craigslist with no luck.

And, then, yesterday--there it was!

It is the perfect size. I am know I'm going to paint it. My bedroom is done all in whites and creams. I would welcome any ideas or inspiration you have for me.

I love the little "lift" compartment on the left hand side. Very cute!

It was marked $75 (and probably worth it, since it is solid maple I believe and in excellent condition), but I offered $50 and they accepted!

Oh happy day.

The painting project will have to wait while I craft away for my little space...

All l you creative women out there...share any ideas you have for this little gem. I'm all ears : )

NOTE: If you have hardware suggestions...the originals are a 2-1/2 inch spread.

  1. I LOVE IT !!!! I've been looking for something just like this for my laptop...too cute !!!

  2. What an aforable little desk! I can't wait to see what you chose to do with it, I was thinking an offwhite with a a darker glaze to antique it, but as for the hardware, that is a tough one, there are so many different styles that would work, although I saw a really neat desk with drawer handles shaped like antique bronze sea shells, the small knobs were tiny star fish and sand dollars. Good luck :) Besos, Rose

  3. What a great find Cori! I love the desk and I think it would be lovely painted white! I found your blog via A refocused life and I love your shoe creations they are just so gorgeous! xx

  4. You scored big time on your desk. It's going to be so pretty painted and shabbied. I would add some crystal knobs or some pretty ones like they have at Anthropologie.

Thanks for visitingn my blog today and leaving such a nice comment. I will be following you now, so I'll be back often.

  5. Hi Cori, love-love-love that desk! I bet you'll do an amazing job painting it! You probably can't wait to get started...after all your other projects! Have a great day! ~Marcy
