Hi There!
Well…it’s not really feeling like spring here in Eastern Washington, but I did enjoy a burst of color on Monday.
We have a great group at our church called Girl Talk. We meet every four to six weeks. It’s such a great chance for women of all ages to get together and socialize, learn, and grow.
I was approached by the leader to do the table decorations for this event. We just wanted each woman who attended to feel “special”…Isn’t that what we all really want?
I selected cardstock in a rainbow of spring “Easter Egg” colors and started cutting and rolling paper flowers.
Since our discussion was going to focus on marriage, I decided to make mini “signs” for each centerpiece that read
“Tow Are Better Than One”.
I found these great plastic tumblers at Wal-Mart for the “vases”.
They inspired my color palette and also serve as a gret reusable drinking glass.
I used a medium gauge wire for “stems” and oasis foam to keep the flowers where I wanted them to be.
I filled the tumblers with white beans to hid the oasis.
the gal who was in charge of the refreshments did an absolutely AMAZING job….
Check out this spread of “snacks” for the evening.
Fabulous….right?
At the end of the evening one woman from each table (with a little “ticket” under her chair) took home a bouquet of flowers.
So…while we wait for the sun to come out here and spring to arrive, we will enjoy a little color.
If you haven’t tried these rolled paper flowers yet, give them a try. Here’s a great tutorial for making them featured in Inspired By Family Magazine.
So glad you popped in for a little color and spring happiness today.
