I took a class from Corinne at 100 Pretty Things through the Artist Class and learned how to make these gorgeous paper shoes.
After I made a few, I couldn't help but think about how beautiful they would be for a bridal luncheon or shower table setting.
I made a set of six pink shoes....
I set my table for a "pretend" bridal shower....
I guess I'm still playing grown-up tea party.
I had so much fun setting this table and taking lots of photos.
I love the results.
I used my cupcake holder to make "pretend" cupcakes with dreamy white chenille fabric.
I found the vintage tins on ebay and decided to paint them a yummy chocolate brown with Rustoleum paint.
I topped the cupcakes with a rustic "jungle bell" for a cherry.
I added the bride silhouette accent (loving those silhouettes!).
I topped the cupcake stand with a little doll I had in my craft stuff and put a chenille dress and a veil on her. She sits nicely inside one of the vintage cupcake tins.
Isn't she pretty with the veil I made her?
Thanks for coming to my bridal "party".
I have the custom shoes for your next bridal party or shoes in my etsy shop. I will do them in your choice of colors.
How special they would make your shower or luncheon!
I think the bride-to-be could tuck her special gift for her bridesmaids in an organza bag and set it inside the shoe.
Magical....
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend and thanks for letting me share my photos with you.
I spent most of the day yesterday making cookies for my 3rd grader and 5th grader's classes.
(My 20 year old should be receiving a big box of cookies via US Priority mail today).
They are never to old to be your Valentine : )
I made these with "Message in a Cookie" cutters from Williams-Sonoma. The coolest things! I have used their pie crust cutters that are similar to these in function.
You can personalize the message with little letters and when you are done, throw the letters in a l little mesh bag and wash them in your silverware caddy in the dishwasher!
We had to abbreviate a bit for my daughter. This is Happy V-Day Mrs. U's Class--CUTE!!!
I used the snowflake that I had from the Christmas set (hey, it's still February after all).
Just a few shots of the gorgeous roses my husband brought home for me yesterday. It's always nice to have something pretty to look at when you are on your feet all day baking.
