Guest House Makeover–Part I

067 (768x1024)j
It all started with a scrap of fabric.
I had recovered some chairs in a beautiful chartreuse and white print.  There was a small piece left over.  Diane and I were looking at it and thought it would be a great color to brighten up the guest house…
So….that was the jumping off point.
I ordered 35 yards of fabric and starting making drapery panels for the four large windows/doors in the living space.

I thought a small laptop desk would be great for guests.
We found this small scale desk on consignment.  I painted it Annie Sloan’s Old White and added some fun colorful knobs from Hobby Lobby.

I found this great copper desk lamp at Goodwill for $4.99.
It works out perfectly.

The little wood chair was a yard sale find for $5.00.  Gotta love the way it works in this corner..

I’ll share the other elements of the guest house with you over the next few posts.
It’s so fun to “bring the outside in” and lighten things up this time of year.
Rebirth. Rejuvenate. Restore.
Spring Fun.
Have a great day…
