The Story Of Your Life Sign And A Lampshade

This sign arrived in the big brown truck yesterday.

I found it at the Old Charm Etsy shop here.

I placed it on my little repurposed desk where I usually sit with my laptop. I just love the sentiment.

After all, isn’t that what we do here? We are writing the stories of our lives and enjoying every minute of it.

and here’s a lampshade re-do I worked on over the last couple days.

Now this is what I love about blogging. I found this post at Tatertots and Jello and just had to give it a try.

So I did.

Don’t you love the way blogs can just inspire you to take on a project like this?

Not bad for my first go around. I will definitely try this technique on another shade. It’s fun and want to try it with a few different shades of the same color next.

Great rainy day project.

Let me know if you decide to try your hand at your own Anthropologie inspired lampshade.

The burlap really worked in our master alongside the fringed burlap panels I have in there.

thanks for stopping by today

  1. Love your lampshade and that sign is perfect!

  2. O my Gosh ! I love the sign! I want one! he lampshade is very cool, too.

  3. I'm surprised you didn't try making the sign yourself, Cori, you're so artsy. You did a great job on your lampshade. I so love your style. In the photo with the sign, the unexpected (shelves) are the only thing with color. The mix of elements in your living room is so creative, there are different styles, but they coexist happily. Hugs, Kim

  4. the lampshade is so cute and classy!! I also love the decors on your walls..and yes, i agree, you could have done that text art yourself=)....
