We had a wonderful weekend at Wallowa Lake in OR. It is a beautiful place to be.
The kids got to go out on our friend's boat and go inner-tubing on the lake yesterday (it had finally warmed up to about 70 degrees).
the campgrounds are so nice.....I was surprised how few tent campers there are now...most people have RVs and fifth wheel trailers.. The upside of that? The bathrooms and showers aren't crowded at all for us tent campers.
Allison got to sit in a VERY BIG chair....too funny! Doesn't it remind you of that old Saturday Night Live skit with Lily Tomlin?
We had a campfire going most of the weekend...it was a bit chilly there...this was a nice change from our very hot Walla Walla July. That's our friend George in his cute camo shorts directing the kids in hauling wood back to the campsite....
The kids (including big kid George) had fun on the bumper boats.
It's always good to have a little getaway....now that all the tons of laundry is done and the camping gear is put back in up in the attic we can concentrate on back to school for the kids next week.
